On September 29-30, 2024, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Alexander Artemov, paid a working visit to the Lugansk People's Republic. During the trip, the speaker of the regional parliament discussed issues of inter-parliamentary interaction, visited a military unit formed in the Omsk region, took part in an event dedicated to the presentation of Russian passports, and met with the Chairman of the People's Council of the Lugansk People's Republic Denis Miroshnichenko.
Today, September 30, 2024, Russia celebrates the Day of Reunification of the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Kherson Region and Zaporozhye Region with the Russian Federation. This date was established by federal law on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A working trip of the Omsk region delegation led by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region Alexander Artemov to the LPR was timed to coincide with the memorable date. The visit program was intense.
Speaker of the regional parliament and Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region Pavel Korennoy visited the sponsored unit of the Airborne Forces formed in the Omsk region. Parliamentarians donated special equipment, first aid kits, sleeping bags, consumables for office equipment, and sanitary and hygiene kits to the military personnel.
“We keep in touch with the unit, regularly support and provide assistance to fellow countrymen participating in the Northern Military District. We send everything necessary,” emphasized Alexander Artemov. “Our common strength is in unity and a timely friendly shoulder. We know for sure that our cause is just. Victory will be ours !".
Speaker of the regional parliament Alexander Artemov said that previously a special cargo had been sent for one of the sponsored units of paratroopers.
It is worth noting that deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region make a great contribution to the provision of humanitarian assistance to the new republics and regularly participate in the formation of cargo. Issues of providing assistance to Omsk residents participating in the SVO and their families are under constant control of Alexander Artemov.
On the eve of the Day of Reunification of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions with Russia in the sponsored city of Stakhanov, Alexander Artemov and Pavel Korenny took part in a ceremony dedicated to the presentation of passports of the Russian Federation to young activists of the First Movement.
The speaker of the regional parliament congratulated the children on receiving passports and wished the children to be patriots and worthy citizens of our country. In memory of the important event, each of the passport recipients was also presented with a publication of the Basic Law of the country - the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
On September 30, 2024, a solemn ceremony of signing agreements on interparliamentary cooperation took place in Lugansk. In addition to the Omsk region, parliamentarians from seven regions took part in it: the Republic of Dagestan and the Chuvash Republic, the Perm Territory, the Bryansk, Vologda, Novgorod, and Tver regions.
Speaker of the regional parliament Alexander Artemov met with the Chairman of the People's Council of the Lugansk People's Republic Denis Miroshnichenko. The parties discussed issues of lawmaking, development and strengthening of interaction at the parliamentary level, as well as other topical issues.
In the course of the work, an Agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation was concluded between the People's Council of the Lugansk People's Republic and the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, aimed at strengthening interregional cooperation between the Lugansk People's Republic and the Omsk region.
“The main areas of joint activity will be the exchange of experience in legislative support of regional state policy in the field of protecting human and civil rights and freedoms, law enforcement and compliance with the rule of law, economics, local government, ecology, healthcare, culture, science, education, social protection of the population, physical culture, sports and tourism, support for local producers, development of the agro-industrial complex in the territories of the Lugansk People's Republic and Omsk region," noted Alexander Artemov.
It is planned to hold joint meetings on lawmaking issues and develop direct contacts between committees and deputy associations.
Also, members of the delegations laid flowers at the memorial sign “They Defended the Motherland” and observed a minute of silence in memory of the fallen defenders.
The final stage of the trip was a visit to memorable places in Lugansk and Krasnodon: the memorial complex "The Unhealing Wound of Donbass", the memorial complex "Sharp Grave", the State Institution of LPR Krasnodon Order of Peoples' Friendship Museum "Young Guard".
