From June 10 to 12, 2024, the international forum of border territories of the Russian Federation and CIS countries “Let friendship be sincere and honest!” is taking place in the Omsk region. The goals of the project are to strengthen the unity of the peoples of Russia, develop interregional and international cooperation, and support compatriots living abroad. The forum was opened by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Alexander Artemov.

On May 31, 2024, an extended meeting of the delegation of the Stavropol Territory with representatives of the Omsk region took place in Omsk, during which an agreement on intermunicipal cooperation was signed. On May 24, 2024, the 21st meeting of the Commission on Cooperation between the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Omsk. On May 23, 2024, at the regular meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, draft laws on amendments to the regional law on state regulation of the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in the Omsk Region were considered. The bills were developed in order to improve the legislative regulation of the retail sale of alcoholic beverages, reduce the volume of alcohol consumption by the population of the Omsk region and the number of cases of violation of public order by persons under the influence of alcohol, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
