On January 25, 2024, the regional parliament discussed the issue "On information on the activities of the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region in 2023". During its consideration, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Alexander Artemov noted that young deputies, using new approaches, have done a lot of work. Its results can become the basis for an action program for the future.
Ilya Smirnov, Chairman of the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the Legislative Assembly, gave a detailed report on the activities of the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the Legislative Assembly in 2023. Having reported on the tasks of the chamber and its structure, he spoke about the issues considered at the chamber's meetings, and about working trips to 32 districts of the Omsk Region. A total of 100 meetings were held, in which more than a thousand young people took part.
"During the lively dialogue, key barriers were identified that prevent young people from realizing themselves in the territory of municipal districts," the Chairman of the Youth Chamber reported. Among such barriers, he named the lack of affordable housing, a narrow list of benefits for young specialists, and a low level of social and leisure infrastructure in the municipal districts of the Omsk Region. At the same time, the Chairman of the Chamber proposed ways to solve these issues.
Ilya Smirnov paid special attention to the joint work of the chamber with colleagues from other regions on proposals to create a unified standard for the activities of youth chambers under the legislative bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Concluding the discussion on this issue, the speaker of the regional parliament, Alexander Artemov, particularly emphasized: "The Youth Chamber has done a tremendous amount of work. It must be supported. I hope that the young deputies will not slow down the pace of work."

On December 19, 2023, a meeting of the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region was held at the Regional Public Relations Center. At the meeting, parliamentarians considered a number of organizational issues and discussed information from relevant ministries.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the regional parliament Pavel Korennoy, members of the chamber, deputies of the Legislative Assembly and the Omsk City Council, representatives of relevant departments and the Public Chamber of the Omsk Region.
The meeting began with consideration of organizational issues. The first issue discussed was the termination of the powers of the members of the Youth Chamber.
Thus, in connection with the termination of the deputy powers of the deputy of the Council of the Izyumovskoye rural settlement of the Sherbakulsky municipal district of the Omsk region Anton Pogorelov, deputy of the regional parliament Darya Bikmaeva, it was decided to terminate their powers as members of the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region.
Next, the application submitted to the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy was considered for inclusion in the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the regional parliament. After discussion, the results of the open vote on the election of the Chairperson of the Youth Chamber under the Council of the Sherbakulsky Municipal District of the Omsk Region were approved - Amina Bukatova became the Chairperson.
During the work, the young deputies heard and discussed information about the activities of the Youth Chamber in 2023. The Chairman of the Chamber, Ilya Smirnov, spoke in detail about the work in municipal districts. As a result, it was decided, in particular, to recommend that the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy consider the possibility of indexing the compensation payment to young teachers for housing and communal services. In addition, a number of recommendations were developed for regional ministries.
Next on the agenda, the Chairman of the Youth Chamber proposed to consider the results of the 2023 summer health campaign. The presented report discussed, in particular, the organization of recreation and health improvement for children in difficult life situations and children of participants in a special military operation.
Also, special attention at the meeting was paid to the practice of targeted training in higher and secondary vocational educational institutions in the Omsk region. In particular, they discussed admission to targeted training within the quota, concluding a training agreement, and legislative changes.
After a comprehensive discussion, the young deputies decided to take all the information presented into account and use it in their future work.
At the end of the meeting, members of the chamber were asked to submit their proposals for the work plan for next year by January 1, 2024.

On December 1, 2023, the international action "Test on the History of the Great Patriotic War" took place. The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Alexander Artemov, Deputy Chairman of the regional parliament Pavel Korennoy, deputies and members of the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, representatives of public organizations, schoolchildren and students took part in writing the Test.
On the eve of the Day of the Unknown Soldier, the country is hosting the international event "Test on the History of the Great Patriotic War". The event is held within the framework of the "Big History" project by youth parliaments under the legislative authorities of the Russian Federation and has been implemented since 2015. In the Omsk Region, the organizer was the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region.
The project is aimed at drawing attention to the study of Russian history, assessing the level of historical literacy of Russian citizens and compatriots living abroad, popularizing historical knowledge, and counteracting the falsification of historical facts.
This year, the central venue of the Test in the Omsk Region was the Museum and Exhibition Complex "Russia - My History", where before the start of the testing, participants were given a tour of the exhibition dedicated to the special military operation.
Alexander Artemov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. The speaker of parliament called for studying the history of the family, through which the history of our country is formed.
"Today we are not writing a test on knowledge of facts and events, this is a test on knowledge of the heroic pages of our history. The grandchildren of those who defended the independence of our homeland in the Great Patriotic War, today defend the independence of the country in Donbass, - emphasized Alexander Artemov. - A person who values and knows his past, the past of his country, his family cannot be led astray. Let's study and protect our national history, try to maintain our historical literacy at a decent level."
Participants answered 40 questions covering various events of the Great Patriotic War. As a result, those who wrote received certificates of passing the test.

On April 24, 2023, a meeting of the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region was held at the Omsk Military Cadet Corps.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy Pavel Korennoy, members of the chamber, representatives of executive authorities and the Public Chamber of the Omsk Region, and deputies of the Omsk City Council.
Before starting to discuss the issues on the agenda, those gathered took a tour of the classrooms, additional education auditoriums and sports grounds of the cadet corps.
The meeting began with consideration of organizational issues. The first issue discussed was the work plans of the Youth Chamber for 2023. According to the work plan, the deputies will prepare legislative initiatives on issues of implementing youth policy, take part in round tables and festive events.
Further on the agenda, information was heard "On the implementation of the national project "Culture" in the territory of the Omsk region". This year, as part of the implementation of the national project, major repairs of cultural centers, the creation of model libraries and virtual concert halls, as well as technical equipment of museums and theaters are planned.
Then the deputies considered the issue "On the organization of recreation and health improvement for children in the summer of 2023 in the Omsk region." During the discussion, it was noted that each camp should develop its own program. In addition, health improvement for children is provided in day camps, country health camps, tent camps, hiking trips and expeditions.
At the end of the meeting, the speaker of the Youth Chamber of Deputies Ilya Smirnov spoke about the interaction of the chamber with municipal youth chambers of the Omsk region and presented a plan for visiting municipalities. All information considered at the meeting was taken into account for use in further work.
