The Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region held a meeting today. It was held at Omsk State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky.
Representatives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Omsk Region, the Omsk State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky, the Public Chamber of the Omsk Region, the Youth Public Council under the Omsk City Council, the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the Governor of the Omsk Region, deputies of the Omsk City Council, chairmen and deputy chairmen of youth chambers of deputies under representative bodies of municipal districts of the Omsk region.
The agenda was very busy. At the beginning of the meeting, questions were considered about the activities of the F.M. Dostoevsky Omsk State University, the prospects for its development, student science at the university and the social activity of students at this university. Then the participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of public activity of Omsk youth.
It was about the work of volunteer detachments and public organizations with children left without parental care in the Omsk region, about the participation of the youth of the Omsk Irtysh region in events dedicated to the Year of the Volunteer in the Russian Federation.
Other important issues were included in the agenda of the meeting. In particular, "The results of the activities of the Youth Public Council at the Omsk City Council in 2018", "Portrait of modern youth", "On proposals to the work plan of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region for 2019", as well as the question "On the draft federal law "On state regulation of limiting the consumption of evaporative mixtures, used in installations simulating tobacco smoking."
The draft law has been prepared by the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region. It is assumed that the adoption of this bill will regulate at the state level restrictions on the use of devices simulating tobacco smoking and the consumption of vaporizing mixtures, which, of course, will have a positive impact on the health of the nation as a whole, prevent and reduce the spread of this harmful habit among minors. The draft law is planned to be sent to the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
