A meeting of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region was held. The parliamentarians discussed the development of youth policy, assistance to families with children and others. In addition to the members of the Youth Chamber, the meeting was attended by deputies of the regional parliament, the Omsk City Council, representatives of the regional government, the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Omsk region, Omsk State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky.
Organizational issues were discussed at the beginning of the meeting. So, in connection with the termination of the parliamentary powers of the deputy of the Omsk City Council of the fifth convocation, Ekaterina Malykh, the Youth Chamber of Deputies decided to terminate her powers as a member of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region from December 15, 2017. In addition, having considered the statements of deputies of the Omsk City Council of the sixth convocation, I.A. Ivchenko and D.K. Petrenko, the Youth Chamber decided to include, in accordance with paragraph 10 of the Regulation on the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, deputies of the Omsk City Council in the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Ivan Ivchenko and Dmitry Petrenko.
Then the participants of the meeting heard and took note of information on some environmental issues in the Omsk region, on the directions of development of youth policy in the Omsk region. The participants paid great attention to the issues of social assistance to families with children. It was about the current situation and prospects for the development of this area of family support. The issue of the development of youth sports in the Omsk region was also thoroughly considered.
The agenda of the meeting also included questions about information about the participation of the delegation of the Omsk region in the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students (October 14-22, 2017), about proposals for the work plan of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region for 2018.
