The Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region held a "round table" on the topic "On the draft federal law No. 458458-5 "On responsible treatment of animals". The round table meeting was attended by members of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region, deputies of the regional parliament and representatives of public organizations, in particular, the Omsk regional public organization "Federation of Cynological Sports", the Omsk regional branch of the All-Russian Society for Nature Protection and others.
Opening the event, Natalia Ivanova, Chairman of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, noted that within the framework of the Freedom of Speech project, the Youth Parliament of the Omsk Region proposed to consider the draft federal law "On Responsible Treatment of Animals". Freedom of Speech is a project of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. One of the objectives of the project is to involve representatives of public organizations in the discussion of significant socio-economic events.
Natalia Ivanova stressed: "On this day, the youth parliaments of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, like us, will discuss the draft federal law on responsible treatment of animals. Recommendations based on the results of the events will be sent to the Youth Parliament at the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and from there to the relevant committee of the State Duma."
At the beginning of the round table, information was provided on the history and stages of preparation of the draft law on the treatment of animals. It was noted that the regional parliament also submitted its proposals on the bill and accepted appeals to the State Duma on the need to adopt the law. To date, the bill has been adopted in the first reading, and work is underway on amendments to the document.
The participants at the round table discussed the following issues: whether it is necessary to introduce legal liability for animal cruelty; whether it is worth banning the shooting of stray animals on the street and others. During the discussion, various proposals to the bill were made. The recommendations of the round table will be sent to the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
On the eve of the celebration of the Great Victory
A meeting of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region together with veterans dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 was held in the Museum Complex of Military Glory of the Omsk region.
In addition to deputies of the Legislative Assembly and members of the Youth Chamber of Deputies under the regional Parliament, representatives of the Omsk Regional Public Organization of Veterans (Pensioners), the Public Chamber of the Omsk region, youth chambers of deputies under the Councils of Municipal districts of the Omsk region, the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Omsk Region and others invited gathered to discuss the celebration of the Great Victory.
The event began with a tour of the Museum Complex of Military Glory of Omsk. Then the plenary part of the meeting was held, which was opened by Natalia Ivanova, deputy of the regional parliament, chairman of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region. First of all, a report was heard on the activities of the regional public organization of veterans (pensioners) in preparation for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory and patriotic education of young people. It was also about the contribution of the Omsk region to Victory during the Great Patriotic War.
There were reports on the topics "On awarding the city of Omsk the honorary title of the Omsk region "City of Labor Glory", "Youth of the Omsk region towards the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory", "All-Russian patriotic public action "Sentry at the Victory Banner" in the Omsk Irtysh region", "On the participation of young Omsk residents in the All-Russian patriotic public action "Sentry at the Victory Banner."
Ivan Magda, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a knight of the Order of the Red Star, the Order of Glory of the III degree, awarded medals For Bravery and other awards, Polina Pekhtereva, a home front worker, Galina Samsonova, a resident of besieged Leningrad, told about their work in public organizations and participation in events dedicated to the Great Victory. In their speeches, the participants of the meeting paid great attention to the patriotic education of young people. The participants agreed on the need to increase the number of hours on the history of Russia, as well as Russian literature, taught in educational institutions, including universities. At the end of the event, the awarding of "Certificates of Honor" to active participants in the preparation for the celebration of Victory Day and the presentation of souvenirs took place.
