Youth policy

The regional parliament hosted a meeting of Vladimir Varnavsky, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, with members of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region and Youth Chambers of Deputies at representative bodies of municipal districts of the Omsk Region, dedicated to Youth Day

In addition to deputies of youth chambers of municipal districts of the Omsk Region and the regional parliament, representatives of district councils, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Omsk Region took part in the meeting. Opening the meeting, Vladimir Varnavsky thanked those gathered for the great attention paid to youth. “It is in you that we see the continuation of the active work that is going on in the country,” he said. At the beginning of his speech the speaker told about the convocations of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region and the main directions of its work, as well as about the development of parliamentarism in Russia. And then the speech was about the activities of state authorities of the Omsk region on the development of the territory. The special role of local self-government bodies was emphasized. After all, it is on their activity depends socio-economic development in the field. “Especially, - said the speaker, - that the President of the Russian Federation today sets the task of decentralization of power, that is, the transfer of large functions directly to the territory, to the municipality. Therefore, one of the important directions of today's activities of the authorities is to create conditions for the development of a new economy, small and medium-sized businesses, new technologies”.

The Omsk Oblast's youth support system was discussed for the most part of the meeting. They talked about benefits for young professionals who find jobs in villages, regional maternity capital, and preferential housing construction. Much attention was paid to the regional programs aimed at the development of small and medium-sized businesses and providing various subsidies, compensations, benefits, grants for aspiring entrepreneurs and those who are already developing their business.

During the meeting, of course, there were reports from representatives of the youth chambers of deputies. They told about the activities of the chambers, interaction with the authorities in addressing youth issues, involvement of young people in the implementation of various programs. Also during the event the theme of social and political processes taking place in the country was touched upon. In particular, Mikhail Karakoz, a deputy of the regional parliament and chairman of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, spoke about the All-Russian People's Front.

Summarizing the results, Vladimir Varnavsky emphasized: “This meeting is useful both for you and for us. Everyone in his or her place today has to solve the range of issues that are defined by the legislation, and together we will have to solve the issues set before our state: modernization, economic development and, most importantly, ultimately, the improvement of people's welfare”. Such meetings, of course, allow to exchange opinions and make proposals for the further development of the Omsk region.

For Cosmonautics Day

Deputies of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region took part in a field meeting of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy of the regional parliament in the exemplary museum of space glory named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky. K. E. Tsiolkovsky, located in the secondary school № 55. It was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight and the Year of Russian Cosmonautics in the Russian Federation.

More than 40 people took part in the meeting. In addition to the deputies of the regional parliament and the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, the space glory museum was attended by representatives of Polet (a branch of Khrunichev Federal State Unitary Enterprise), the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Military Sciences of the Russian Federation, Omsk State Technical University, Omsk State University named after F. M. Dostoevsky, the regional Ministry of Education, as well as teachers and students of School No. 55.

Having made a tour of the school, the participants of the event gathered at the model museum of space glory named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky. K. E. Tsiolkovsky Space Glory Museum, where the school students gave a detailed presentation about their museum. And then here began the discussion of the stated theme of the retreat. “It is deeply symbolic that our meeting is held exactly in this museum, - said the chairman of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy of the regional parliament Gennady Gerin, highly appreciating the interaction between the school and OmSTU on the training of future aerospace specialists.
- The history of the development of Russian cosmonautics evokes a sense of pride,” he continued. - Every year on April 12, we remember with gratitude Yuri Gagarin, the man who opened the era of human space flight. On this day we also talk about those thanks to whose scientific achievements and labor the rocket and space industry of our country is developing. For Omsk people this holiday has a special significance, as Omsk teachers, scientists, engineers, employees of scientific organizations, universities and enterprises, especially Polet, make a significant contribution to the development of the Russian rocket and space industry”.

The keynote speech - “Omsk's Contribution to the Development of Rocket and Space Research in Russia” - was delivered by Dr. Viktor Blinov, Deputy Chief Designer for Design Work, Head of the Design Complex of Polet PA, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor. The topic of scientific research of Omsk residents in the field of rocket and space technology was widely discussed. They also talked about personnel. In particular, about multilevel training of aerospace specialists at Omsk State Technical University. It was also about interaction of OmSU and school № 55 on preparation of students to enter OmSTU for aerospace specialties. Practically all reports were accompanied by video films and slides. Much attention was paid to the activity and development of the model museum of space glory named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky. K. E. Tsiolkovsky. Lidia Kichigina, People's Teacher of the USSR, Honored Teacher of the RSFSR, head of the museum, told about its development plans and ongoing research.

Summarizing the results of the meeting, the committee decided to state that the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Y.A. Gagarin's space flight and holding the Year of Russian Cosmonautics in the Russian Federation in 2011 is a tribute and appreciation to the domestic education system and fundamental science, thanks to which the first cosmonaut in the history of mankind became a citizen of the Russian state. And at the end of the meeting the employees of the MOU “Secondary Comprehensive School No. 55” were presented with Letters of Gratitude of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region.
