On February 25, 2020, in Moscow, at the age of 96, Marshal of the Soviet Union Dmitry Timofeevich Yazov passed away after a serious and long illness.

He expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Dmitry Yazov Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Vladimir Varnavsky: “From a man has passed away, who gave decades of his life to selfless service to the Motherland, dedicated himself to the development of military affairs and the armed forces.

He bore a lot on his shoulders, went through a lot to to remain in the memory of people as the true son of his people, who has always preserved loyalty to duty, oath and Fatherland."
