On October 14-18, 2017, the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the oldest international organization uniting the parliaments of 173 states, will take place in St. Petersburg. The Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, invited the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Varnavsky, to personally take part in the work of this representative and influential assembly.
