As noted by the speaker of the regional parliament, he considers the active participation of the Russian delegations to the CLRAEC events in the coming year to strengthen Russia’s authority in the world political space and a clear, principled defense of our country’s position on international arena, especially in the context of heightened contradictions with the leaders of Western European states and the USA.



At the meeting powers of delegations will be approved of all member countries of the Council of Europe - in a new composition and elected leaders bodies of Congress for the period until the fall of 2023. Absentee voting procedure already launched.

Commenting on the event, Vladimir Varnavsky explained that as a result of negotiations between the leaders of the four Congressional political groups, voting results and agreements reached package proposals of candidates for election to the leadership have already been formed organs of Congress. From Russia to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Congress in The Governor of the Leningrad Region is vying for the Chamber of Regions. His candidacy included in the voting list, and the entire Russian delegation in full force will support it.
