On September 4, 2024, at a meeting of the Investment Committee of the Omsk Region Governor's Council for Investment Activities and Competition Development, held with the participation of Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Alexander Artemov, Governor of the Omsk Region Vitaly Khotsenko, deputies of the regional parliament, representatives of relevant ministries and departments, the Omsk City Administration and business, issues related to the implementation of individual investment projects were considered.
It should be noted that the Investment Committee is a permanent advisory body of the Council for Investment and Competition Development under the Governor of the Omsk Region, created to protect the rights and legitimate interests of investment entities.
"Quite important business projects are discussed at the committee meetings. For what purpose? In order to help actively promote business projects in the region, " said Alexander Artemov. - Today we discussed two very important projects. One of them is for the production of concrete products by vibropressing. The company has been operating since 2005. The project is aimed at increasing the production of such products.
The second project involves the repair of foreign equipment, which, of course, is important given the scale of construction and landscaping. We have a huge amount of imported equipment and, of course, it tends to wear out. The construction of this facility and the creation of a production base for the repair of imported agricultural machinery will support farmers in providing the agro-industrial complex market of the Omsk region with high-quality equipment and services."
The speaker also said that verified decisions were made on each issue included in the agenda and specific instructions were given to provide the necessary support to investors in an operational mode.
Deputies of the regional parliament together with the Government of the Omsk region develop and adopt laws aimed at supporting investors and improving the investment climate of the Omsk region. The adoption of such laws is particularly relevant due to the need for import substitution.
