The first issue the committee heard and discussed was information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region, the Ministry of Economy of the Omsk Region on the readiness of the Omsk Region for the entry into force of the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of meat and meat products." Then the deputies heard a report from the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Omsk Region on the results of the control event “Inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region on the legality and effectiveness of the use of regional budget funds allocated in 2013 for the implementation of the long-term target program of the Omsk Region “Agricultural Development and Regulation” markets of agricultural products, raw materials and food of the Omsk region (2013-2020)" in terms of providing grants for the creation and development of peasant farms and (or) one-time assistance for the home improvement of beginning farmers; grants for the development of family livestock farms based on peasant farms." It was decided to take this information into account.
The deputies also took into account, in particular, information about changes in federal legislation from May 13 to June 4, 2014 in the areas of the committee’s activities and the need to amend regional laws.
In addition, the committee reviewed and decided to recommend to the regional parliament to adopt in the first reading the draft law “On Amendments to the Law of the Omsk Region “On the Regulation of Forest Relations in the Omsk Region”, which clarifies, in particular, the individual powers of the Government of the Omsk Region in the field of forestry relations in terms of establishing a list of officials exercising federal state fire supervision in forests.
