The Legislative Assembly Committee on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology held a visiting meeting on February 14 at ZAO MPK COMPUR on the issue of "On staffing the agro-industrial complex of the Omsk region"

In addition to deputies of the regional parliament, the meeting was attended by the leadership of the regional ministries of education, agriculture and food, representatives of educational institutions. Before starting to discuss the main issue on the meeting agenda, the event participants toured the production base of JSC MPK COMPUR, visiting the workshops of the enterprise. Deputy of the regional parliament, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC MPK COMPUR Dimitry Galavanov spoke about its activities and development.
Opening the plenary part of the meeting, Anatoly Bezzubtsev, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology, focused the attention of those gathered on the seriousness of the issue of staffing the agro-industrial complex and proposed to discuss this issue comprehensively.
Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region Vitaly Erlikh presented a general description of the main problems of staffing the agro-industrial complex of the Omsk region to the participants of the meeting. Having named the objective reasons for the reduction in labor potential, he spoke about the measures taken aimed at providing the agro-industrial complex of the Omsk region with personnel. Deputy Minister of Education of the Omsk Region Vladimir Titenko reported on how personnel are generally trained in educational institutions of the Omsk Region, as well as on programs for retraining specialists and advanced training. In turn, representatives of educational institutions spoke about the current situation and prospects for training qualified specialists.



The participants discussed widely issues of the quality of training of specialists in the agro-industrial complex of the Omsk region and problems of the educational process. Noting the continuing imbalance of labor supply and demand, which is due to the discrepancy between the needs of employers for personnel and the professional and qualification structure of the labor force represented on the labor market, the meeting participants agreed on the need, in particular, to improve curricula, and jointly with employers to develop requirements for specialties.
Particular attention was paid to the problems of organizing educational and industrial practice and improving the practical training of students, taking into account modern requirements for the quality of training. They also discussed issues of financial support in the field of training and support for agricultural specialists. In general, an interested, constructive conversation took place, during which various proposals were made for further interaction between government bodies, educational institutions and agricultural organizations in order to improve the personnel training system for the agro-industrial complex.
