A round table on the topic "On state support for small and medium-sized businesses in the Omsk region" was held in the Legislative Assembly by the Committee on Economic Policy and Investments of the regional parliament.

"Questions state support for small and medium-sized businesses is one of the areas activities of our committee. It has already become a tradition for us to hold "round tables" where various problems and proposals for their solution are being considered,” the chairman noted Committee on Economic Policy and Investments of the Legislative Assembly Omsk region Dmitry Shishkin, opening the round table meeting.
He also reported that according to the Unified Register of Small and Medium Entities entrepreneurship of the Federal Tax Service as of December 10 In 2017, 69,682 SMEs were registered in the Omsk region, including 66,420 microenterprises (of which 12,608 are newly created), 3,075 small enterprises, 187 – medium-sized enterprises.

Within the framework of the state program of the Omsk region "Development of the economic potential of the Omsk region" in 2017 at 175.7 million rubles were allocated for the development of SMEs, including funds from federal budget - 166.6 million rubles. However, there are certain problems hindering the development of the SME sector: low availability of credit resources for entities SMEs, insufficient level of information about existing government measures entrepreneurship support and others. "I propose to discuss current issues of state support for small and medium-sized entities entrepreneurship, as well as formulate recommendations aimed at development of this sector of the economy,” emphasized Dmitry Shishkin.
