The event was attended, in particular, by representatives of the regional parliament, the Omsk City Council, the regional prosecutor's office, and district councils. They discussed various areas of activity of representative bodies of local self-government of the Omsk region. Thus, at the seminar there were reports on the topics “On certain issues of working with citizens’ appeals”, “Organizational and legal regulation of the activities of representative bodies of local self-government of the Omsk region” and others.
Using the example of individual districts of the region, they discussed providing access to information about the activities of representative bodies of municipalities of the Omsk region, organizing planning for the activities of the Councils and monitoring the implementation of the decisions of the Councils. The event participants paid special attention to the issue of the effectiveness of interaction between representative bodies of local self-government and the prosecutor's office, as well as the assessment of regulatory legal acts adopted by the Councils. The lively dialogue that took place gave the seminar participants the opportunity to exchange work experience and learn about legislative innovations. This will certainly contribute to the further development of representative bodies of local self-government and strengthening interaction between government bodies.
