At a meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology, held on May 11, 2023, deputies discussed issues related to the management of mercury-containing waste, measures to ensure the availability of food to Omsk residents, as well as the development of processing agricultural products.

Members
committee have read the report on the treatment of
mercury-containing waste and waste low current sources (batteries)
in the city of Omsk and municipal districts of the Omsk region.
After
exchange of views, legislators recommended that the Ministry of Natural Resources and
ecology of the Omsk region and the State Housing Inspectorate of the Omsk region
strengthen information work in this direction. To this question
The committee will return in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Then
parliamentarians moved on to discuss the issue “On the implementation and monitoring
enforcement of the Law of the Omsk region dated March 25, 2011 No. 1338-OZ "On
measures to ensure food availability for the population of Omsk
region".

During the work, the deputies assessed the state and prospects for the development of agricultural processing
products in the Omsk region. Level of self-sufficiency in main types
agricultural products more than 100%, production exceeds domestic
consumption excluding vegetables, fruits and berries. In addition, the region pays
attention to the implementation of investment projects.

section "Miscellaneous" discussed the problems of stray animals in
territory of the Omsk municipal district and measures of regional support for the industry
dairy farming in the Omsk region in 2023.

2023.
