The Committee on Economic Policy and Investments of the regional parliament held a visiting meeting at the Main Directorate for Civil Defense Emergencies of the Omsk Region, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Omsk Region, the Civil Defense Department of the Government of the Omsk Region on the issue of the implementation of the Law of the Omsk Region No. 586-OZ "On protection of the population and territories of the Omsk region from natural and man-made emergencies"

The Committee on Economic Policy and Investments of the regional parliament held a visiting meeting at the Main Directorate for Civil Defense Emergency Situations of the Omsk Region, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Omsk Region, the civil defense department of the Government of the Omsk Region on the issue of progress in the implementation of Law of the Omsk Region No. 586-OZ "On the protection of the population and territories of the Omsk Region from natural and man-made emergencies"

The meeting began with a visit to the Main Directorate for Civil Emergency Situations of the Omsk Region, where the event participants visited the educational and educational institution Methodological Center for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Omsk Region", inspected the educational and material base of the institution and got acquainted with its activities. After that, those gathered heard speeches from the leadership of the Main Directorate for Civil Emergency Situations of the Omsk Region and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Omsk Region. The discussion was about the implementation of Law of the Omsk Region No. 586-OZ "On the protection of the population and territories of the Omsk Region from natural and man-made emergencies" , on the structure and powers of the State Administration for Civil Emergency Situations of the Omsk Region, its work, as well as on the unified state system for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations, on the principles of operation and modernization of the regional automated centralized warning system for the population (RASTSO) about the threat of or about the occurrence of emergency situations in the Omsk region, about the development of a system for calling emergency services using a single telephone number " 112". During the discussion, they also talked about current issues in the field of protecting the population and territories of the Omsk region from natural and man-made emergencies, in particular, about increasing emergency services, about the prospects for changing legislation on the issue of notifying the population on television about the threat of an emergency or occurrence of an emergency.

< br>Then the meeting participants visited the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Omsk Region, getting acquainted with the organization of the work of the operational duty shift of the Federal Institution "Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Omsk Region" and visiting the fire-technical exhibition of the Center for Fire Propaganda and Public Relations of the Main Directorate Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Omsk region. In addition, the deputies visited the duty station of the operational duty station of the Civil Defense Department of the Government of the Omsk Region, where they learned about the emergency warning system for the population in the Omsk Region.

Following the results of the on-site meeting, the deputies considered a draft decision, in accordance with which it was decided to note the purposeful activities of the Main Directorate for Civil Defense Emergencies of the Omsk Region, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Omsk Region improving the regional warning system and informing the population about emergency situations; submit to the regional parliament and recommend that it accept for consideration the draft law “On amending Article 11 of the Law of the Omsk Region “On the protection of the population and territories of the Omsk region from natural and man-made emergencies”, prepared in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation and providing for the expansion of tasks Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Fire Safety
