The meeting began with consideration of the pressing issue of providing housing in the Omsk region to young professionals working in the field of education, culture, physical culture (sports) and youth policy. The reports of the relevant ministries and departments discussed, in particular, targeted monitoring of the needs of educational organizations for office residential premises, provision of housing for participants in the “Zemstvo Teacher” programs, measures of social support for cultural workers, and the provision of social payments for the construction of housing for those living and working in rural areas.

Next, committee members discussed the implementation of the Law of the Omsk Region dated June 21, 2019 No. 2173-OZ  "On tourism activities in the Omsk region." The regional Ministry of Culture in its report provided information on the work being done to create favorable conditions for the development of tourism in the region.

During the meeting, deputies approved the committee’s work plan for 2025. Among the planned activities are legislative work in the areas of the committee’s activities, monitoring the enforcement of legislation in the region, implementing the control functions of the committee, working with draft federal laws and with appeals from legislative (representative) bodies of state power of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, meetings of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the regional parliament, holding offsite events, parliamentary hearings, round tables and more.

Parliamentarians were informed about changes in federal legislation in November - December 2024 in the areas of the committee’s activities. All information presented at the meeting was taken into account.
