On September 8, 2023, a joint meeting of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on Science and Higher Education and the Council of Legislators of the Siberian Federal District was held in Tomsk. The main issue considered was “On the progress of implementation of Decree of the President of Russia dated May 12, 2023 No. 343 “On some issues of improving the higher education system.”

Alexander Artemov took part in the meeting of the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Council of Legislators of the Siberian Federal District

The event was held in the videoconferencing format, chaired by the head Committee State Duma of the Russian Federation science and higher education Sergei Kabyshev and Chairman of the Council of Legislators Siberian Federal District, Speaker of the Legislative Duma of the Tomsk Region Oksana Kozlovskaya with the participation of the plenipotentiary representative The President of Russia in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Harry Minha.

From Omsk region, the meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Legislative Meetings of the Omsk region Alexander Artemov, chairman of the committee on education, science, culture and youth policy of the regional parliament Pavel Korennoy, Deputy Minister of Education of the Omsk Region Elena Korchagina and Chairman of the Omsk Council of Rectors Maria Livzan.

On the agenda are issues of training qualified personnel for high-tech companies in the agro-industrial complex, new models of personnel training to solve the problems of technological sovereignty, priorities for the development of the scientific and educational complex in conditions of improvement system of higher education in Russia.
