On this day, Omsk residents remember the exploits of their compatriots and honoring military personnel. Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Alexander Artemov honored the memory of the fallen soldiers by laying flowers and a wreath at the war memorials in the 30th Anniversary of Victory Park.



The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the regional parliament Pavel Korenny and Valery Boyko, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region, members of the regional government, representatives of the Omsk city administration, military, social activists, participants in youth and veterans' organizations.



Officials bowed to the monuments of the Siberian Mother with her son and the victorious Soldier. They honored the memory of the soldiers at the Eternal Flame with a minute of silence and a triple gun salvo, laid flowers at the memorial “Dedicated to the Sons of Omsk Land, who fulfilled their duty to the Fatherland,” paying honor to those who died in counter-terrorism operations, as well as during the liquidation of the consequences of emergency situations and disasters.
