During the visit the speaker regional parliament and deputies visited sports facilities, met with the head of the Tara municipal district, discussed the prospects for the development of sports infrastructure.



Alexander Artemov, deputies, representatives of executive authorities took part in the ceremony opening of the new sports complex of the recreation center "Lesnaya" glade", where the 25th interregional youth competitions of small cities of Siberia in judo in memory of the honorary citizen of the city V.D. Artemova "Tournament" with a Siberian character."

The speaker of the regional parliament emphasized the importance of the development of judo in the region and thanked everyone who helped in creating the sports center.

It is worth noting that the first small tournament cities of Siberia took place in 1998, and for two decades the northern capital of Omsk region is the venue for one of the most popular regional youth judo competitions.



This year the competition gathered more 140 athletes from 10 regions: Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Omsk regions, Krasnoyarsk and Altai Territory, as well as the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. Thanks to wide representation for the first time in the history of the competition to all winners (with having 3 victories) was awarded the category of candidate master of sports.



The Tara tournament has become a qualifying stage for the participation of athletes in the finals of the all-Russian competitions of the Dynamo society judo "Dynamo League-2024", which will be held in Volgograd.



The working trip continued in the budget cultural institution of the Omsk region "Omsk State Northern Drama Theater named after M.A. Ulyanov". Here the Chairman and deputies of the Legislative Meetings of the Omsk region at a meeting of the theater's Board of Trustees discussed the upcoming memorable date - the 100th anniversary of birthday of People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Ulyanov.



Also read a plan of events for another anniversary date - the 430th anniversary of Tara. In the municipal budgetary cultural institution "Tarskiy" art museum" Alexander Artemov and members of parliament discussed the publication of an album of works by Tara artists, which will include biographies and works authors.
