The Council of Legislators solves the most important tasks of the functioning and development of the entire system of government bodies in the Russian Federation.

Among the main ones: ensuring the full participation of representatives of regional authorities in the formation and implementation of national policy; development of recommendations for determining the main directions of development of federal legislation and legislation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation; promoting the dissemination of experience in legislative activities; discussion of the most significant draft federal laws.

At the April 14 meeting of the Presidium of the Council for Interaction of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation with the legislative (representative) bodies of state power of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, Vladimir, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Alekseevich Varnavsky was also entrusted with heading the Commission of the Council of Legislators on issues of legislative support for social policy and the labor market in the Russian Federation.

These new appointments of the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region are another confirmation of his high political status and authority of the Omsk Region.
