On February 22, 2024, deputies of the regional parliament at the next plenary meeting adopted for consideration draft laws developed to create favorable conditions for conducting investment activities in the Omsk region.

The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Alexander Artemov, stated this during a discussion of the work plans of the regional parliament for 2024 and summing up the results for 2023 at the first meeting of the Assembly in the spring session, held on January 25, 2024.  The deputies reviewed socially significant laws prepared to improve the efficiency of the social support system for citizens, as well as laws aimed at the further development of investment policy in the Omsk region.

March 3-5, 2023 in the village. Nizhnyaya Omka hosted the 53rd regional rural winter sports and cultural festival “Holiday of the North - Nizhnyaya Omka - 2023”. The opening ceremony, held on March 3, was attended by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Varnavsky, and the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, Valery Boyko. At the Olympics, medals were won in 5 sports: mini-football, hockey, motocross, winter polyathlon and cross-country skiing.

March 3, 2023 in the village. Nizhnyaya Omka held the opening ceremony of the 53rd regional rural winter sports and cultural festival “Holiday of the North - Nizhnyaya Omka - 2023”. Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Vladimir Varnavsky took part in it. More than 800 athletes came to Nizhnyaya Omka to take part in competitions in cross-country skiing, hockey, mini-football, polyathlon and motocross.

The corresponding changes to the regional legislation were adopted by deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region at a plenary meeting held on February 16, 2023. The new laws are aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens with three or more children, increasing the efficiency of mechanisms for providing land plots in state or municipal ownership to certain categories of citizens free of charge. Other additional measures of social support for citizens are also provided.
