On December 15, 2022, the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region on Economic Policy and Investment held a regular meeting. At the meeting, deputies reviewed several bills, information on the implementation of the regional law “On Transport Tax” and other issues. In the “Miscellaneous” section, a draft law was discussed providing for the redistribution of powers between the Ministry of Construction of the Omsk Region and the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the Omsk Region for issuing permits for the construction of facilities.

On December 14, 2022, the property committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region discussed current issues of property management in the Omsk Region, having considered a new bill and analyzing the implementation of the current regional law, discussed the provision of orphans with living quarters, the work plan for the next year and other information.

The representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Omsk, Evgeny Vasilievich Kosintsev, passed away. Condolences to his family were brought by the Governor of the Omsk Region, Alexander Burkov, and the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Varnavsky.

On December 8, 2022, the committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region of Financial and Budgetary Policy at the regular meeting considered in the second reading the draft law “On the regional budget for 2023 and for the planning period of 2024 and 2025”, work plans for 2023 and the issue of the auditor Control -Accounts Chamber of the Omsk Region.

The former head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Omsk Region, Vladimir Grigorievich Gurzhey, has died. On December 1, 2022, a regular meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology was held. In the second reading, deputies considered the draft law of the Omsk region “On the regional budget for 2023 and for the planning period of 2024 and 2025.”

On December 1, 2022, at the Hermitage-Siberia Center, parliamentary hearings were held on the topic “On the implementation of the national project “Culture” in the Omsk Region,” organized by the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy together with the Ministry of Culture of the Omsk Region areas. The focus of the participants' attention was on the creation of model libraries, the activities of mobile multifunctional centers, the repair and reconstruction of cultural institutions.

These and other changes to the regional law “On the regional budget for 2022 and for the planning period of 2023 and 2024” were considered at a meeting of the financial and budget policy committee of the regional parliament, held on December 1, 2022.

The Committee on Economic Policy and Investments of the regional parliament today considered in second reading the draft law “On the regional budget for 2023 and for the planning period of 2024 and 2025” and decided to recommend that the Legislative Assembly adopt the law as a whole.

Today, November 30, 2022, the next meeting of the Social Policy Committee was held. The only item on the agenda was the presentation to the committee deputies in the second reading of the draft law of the Omsk region “On the regional budget for 2023 and for the planning period of 2024 and 2025.”

The relevant committees of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region are discussing the draft regional budget for 2023-2025 in the second reading, when the expenditures of the regional budget are considered item by item. On November 29, 2022, a meeting of the Youth Chamber of Deputies at the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region was held at the Regional Center for Public Relations. It changed the composition of the chamber, discussed issues of interaction between the chamber and the Resource Center for the Development of Volunteerism in the Omsk Region, the results of the 2022 admissions campaign to higher and secondary vocational educational institutions in the Omsk region and other information.

On November 24, 2022, the next plenary meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region was held. Deputies reviewed a whole package of bills providing for tax benefits and other social support measures for mobilized and other categories of citizens, adopted the draft regional budget for 2023-2025 in the first reading, and also discussed draft new regional laws.
