On the eve of the new parliamentary season, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Varnavsky, was again recognized at the highest level. By order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Omsk Speaker was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Russian Federation for his services in strengthening the rule of law, active legislative activity and many years of conscientious work.

At the last meeting before the summer holidays, the Legislative Assembly approved changes to the regional budget, as well as to the budget of the territorial compulsory health insurance fund of the Omsk region in the direction of increasing income and expenses. In addition, deputies elected a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation from the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region. Concluding the meeting, the speaker of the regional parliament, Vladimir Varnavsky, summed up the results of the first session of the fifth convocation.

On July 11, a visiting meeting of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology will take place at ZAO Irtyshskoye. The meeting starts at 11.00.

Tomorrow, July 6, a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation under the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation will take place in Moscow. Member of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Vladimir Varnavsky will take part in the meeting.

Employment problems for citizens who have difficulty finding work in the Omsk region were discussed today at a round table held in the regional parliament. The round table was organized by the Social Policy Committee of the Legislative Assembly

At the next plenary meeting, deputies of the regional parliament considered a package of bills regulating the processes of elections to state authorities and local self-government. Parliament also approved changes to the regional budget for 2012 in the direction of increasing its revenues and expenses. In addition, deputies reviewed a draft of a new regional law aimed at protecting the health and morals of children.

At the next meeting, the regional parliament prematurely terminated the powers of Deputy of the Legislative Assembly Viktor Nazarov, and also considered amendments to the Charter (Basic Law) of the Omsk Region. In addition, the deputies considered the draft law “On Amendments to the Law of the Omsk Region “On State Support for Advocacy and the Bar in the Omsk Region,” which provides for granting lawyers the right to participate in the state system of free legal assistance, and other bills.
