The bill “On amending Article 2 of the Law of the Omsk Region “On providing certain categories of citizens with free ownership of land” and other issues were considered by the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology.

On April 26, 2017, the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy held a round table on the topic “On the implementation of the Law of the Omsk Region of July 24, 2008 No. 1070-OZ “On Physical Culture and Sports in the Omsk Region.” The event took place in budgetary institution of the city of Omsk "Sports complex "Red Star".

At the next meeting, the Legislative Assembly considered the report of the Commissioner of the Omsk Region for Human Rights on the observance of human and civil rights and freedoms in the Omsk Region in 2016, and discussed a package of bills aimed at business development. Issues of major repairs of apartment buildings, regulation of forest relations and others were considered.

At the next meeting, the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy reviewed bills on cultural heritage sites, the Public Chamber of the Omsk Region, and also heard information from the Ministry of Education of the Omsk Region on the implementation of the regional law on the system for preventing neglect and on preparations for the new school year.

Issues of major repairs of houses, fire protection, urban planning and others were considered at the next meeting by the committee on economic policy and investments of the regional parliament.

The Social Policy Committee of the regional parliament held a regular meeting. The main issue included in the agenda of the meeting is the development of a system of private boarding houses for the elderly and disabled in the Omsk region. In addition, the reports of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Omsk Region and the bill on the execution of the budget of the territorial compulsory health insurance fund of the Omsk Region for 2016 were reviewed. Having completed the plenary part of the meeting, the deputies made a trip to the boarding house for elderly people “Cozy House 1”.

A meeting of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology was held. It reviewed several bills and information from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Omsk Region.

Bills aimed at increasing the investment attractiveness of the Omsk region and business development were considered at the next meeting by the financial and budgetary policy committee of the regional parliament.

The Committee on Legislation and Local Self-Government of the regional parliament held a regular meeting. The deputies considered issues regarding the appointment of a justice of the peace, representatives to the qualification board of judges, a report on the observance of human and civil rights and freedoms, and several bills.

A visiting meeting of the Property Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region was held with the participation of the Ministry of Property Relations of the Omsk Region, the Center for Accounting and Maintenance of Property of the Omsk Region, as well as the media. The main issue on the agenda is the progress in implementing the forecast plan for the privatization of property in the Omsk region in 2017.

Vladimir Varnavsky was awarded the title "Honorary Resident of the Muromtsevsky District" of the Omsk Region.

The Legislative Assembly held a round table on the topic “On the development of outpatient medical care in the Omsk region,” organized by the social policy committee of the regional parliament. A wide range of participants gathered to discuss current issues on the stated topic: deputies of the Legislative Assembly and the Omsk City Council, representatives of regional ministries, the Federation of Omsk Trade Unions, medical institutions of the Omsk region, Omsk State Medical University (OMSMU), public organizations and the media.

Today, the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region held parliamentary hearings on the topic “On the implementation of state youth policy in the Omsk Region.” Representatives of the government and municipal districts of the Omsk region took part in the working meeting along with deputies of the regional parliament; administration of the city of Omsk; Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Omsk region; Federation of Omsk Trade Unions; Public Chamber of the Omsk Region; public youth organizations.

At the next meeting, deputies of the Legislative Assembly considered questions about the report of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Omsk region, a report on the activities of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Omsk region, approved changes to the regional budget for the next three years, and also discussed draft laws aimed at developing entrepreneurship and protecting facilities cultural heritage.
