On May 19, 2022, the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region adopted a law aimed at providing property support to citizens and members of their families who lost their living quarters as a result of a natural and (or) man-made emergency. Deputies also discussed a package of bills developed to support taxpayers in the face of external sanctions pressure, as well as to create favorable conditions for conducting investment activities in the Omsk region, including to attract investment in projects to create new industrial production and housing construction.

Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko congratulated Vladimir Varnavsky and the deputies of the regional parliament on the Day of Russian Parliamentarism.

On April 21, 2022, the regional parliament considered new bills aimed at social support for orphans, medical and teaching workers, and increasing the investment attractiveness of the Omsk region in the field of construction and industrial production.
