On March 21-25, 2016, the 30th session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe was held in Strasbourg. It marks a new stage in its activities, which coincides with the 20th anniversary of Russia’s participation in the work of this authoritative international organization. The session was attended by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, the head of the Russian delegation to the Chamber of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, Vladimir Varnavsky.

On March 17, 2016, at the regular plenary meeting, deputies of the regional parliament considered bills establishing benefits for certain categories of citizens in paying transport tax, as well as contributions for major repairs of common property in apartment buildings. In addition, a draft law establishing additional support for agricultural organizations and manufacturing industries was accepted for consideration.

On February 25, 2016, at the regular plenary meeting, deputies of the Legislative Assembly adopted a law regarding social support for certain categories of citizens, approved changes to the law on organizing major repairs of common property in apartment buildings, as well as other laws

On January 28, 2016, at the first plenary session of the spring session, the Legislative Assembly considered bills aimed at developing social policy, providing new tax benefits to certain categories of citizens and other issues

On December 29, 2015, deputies of the regional parliament adopted the Law of the Omsk Region “On the regional budget for 2016.” At the last meeting of this year, other issues were discussed

On December 10, 2015, at the regular plenary meeting, the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region adopted in the first reading the draft regional law “On the regional budget for 2016”

On November 26, 2015, public hearings on the draft law of the Omsk region “On the regional budget for 2016” were held in the conference hall of the Omsk Region Government.

On November 19, 2015, the Legislative Assembly adopted a new regional law on passenger transportation

On October 29, the Legislative Assembly at its regular meeting approved a new living wage for a pensioner in the Omsk region for 2016
