On March 16, 2017, the regional parliament approved the second changes to the main financial document of the Omsk Irtysh region, adopting the law “On Amendments to the Law of the Omsk Region “On the Regional Budget for 2017 and for the Planning Period of 2018 and 2019.”

On March 3, 2017, the Legislative Assembly held a regular meeting of the Council of Chairmen of Representative Bodies of Municipal Districts of the Omsk Region and the Omsk City District under the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region. The meeting was also attended by the governor and ministers of the regional government.

On February 16, 2017, at the next plenary meeting of the regional parliament, the Law of the Omsk Region “On Amendments to the Law of the Omsk Region “On the Regional Budget for 2017 and for the planning period of 2018 and 2019” was adopted.

On January 26, 2017, the regional parliament adopted the Law of the Omsk Region “On amending Article 18 of the Law of the Omsk Region “On organizing major repairs of common property in apartment buildings located in the Omsk Region.” The change concerns the submission of payment documents for the payment of contributions for major repairs to a special account.

On December 22, 2016, deputies of the Legislative Assembly adopted the Law of the Omsk Region “On the regional budget for 2017 and for the planning period of 2018 and 2019.” In addition, a new Law of the Omsk Region was adopted - “On labor protection in the territory of the Omsk Region”.

On December 7-9, 2016, events of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation at the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation were held in Moscow. The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Varnavsky, took part in them.

On November 30, 2016, deputies of the Legislative Assembly adopted in the first reading the draft of the main financial document of the Omsk region for 2017 and for the planning period of 2018 and 2019.

On October 27, 2016, at the regular plenary meeting of the Legislative Assembly, the Governor of the Omsk Region, Viktor Nazarov, made a report on the main directions of budgetary, economic and social policy for 2017 (message from the Governor of the Omsk Region to the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region on the state of affairs in the Omsk Region). The meeting was attended by representatives of federal departments, regional ministries, local governments and other invitees.

The 31st plenary session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe took place in Strasbourg. The agenda includes the promotion of ethical standards and the fight against corruption at the local and regional levels, the migration crisis in Europe, the fight against radicalization, extremism, manifestations of hatred, consideration of documents on the state of democracy in a number of countries that are members of the Council of Europe.
