On March 15, 2018, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region adopted the law “On Amendments to the Law of the Omsk Region “On Organizational Property Tax,” which provides for a reduction in tax rates for organizations operating in various sectors of the economy.

On February 15, 2018, at the regular plenary meeting of the regional parliament, deputies considered the issue of transferring the vacant mandate of a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, as well as new bills, including a draft law clarifying the issues of organizing capital repairs in apartment buildings. In addition, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Varnavsky, addressed those present and residents of the Omsk Region in connection with the elections of the President of the Russian Federation.

On February 5, 2018, deputies of the Legislative Assembly adopted the regional law “On amendments to the Law of the Omsk Region “On the regional budget for 2018 and for the planning period of 2019 and 2020.” In accordance with it, budget revenues and expenses were increased.

On January 25, 2018, at the first plenary meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region in the spring session, deputies of the regional parliament adopted the law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of the Omsk Region,” which helps solve the problems of participants in shared-equity housing construction.

On December 26, 2017, a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region was held in the conference hall of the regional government, at which the acting Governor of the Omsk Region, Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, Alexander Burkov, made a report on the main directions of budgetary, economic and social policy for 2018 (the Governor’s message Omsk region to the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region on the state of affairs in the Omsk region).

On December 21, 2017, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, having discussed amendments to the main financial document of the Omsk Region for the next three years, adopted the Law of the Omsk Region “On the regional budget for 2018 and for the planning period of 2019 and 2020.” Other laws have been adopted, including those aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, developing social policy and the economy of the Omsk region.

On December 18, 2017, a meeting of the Council of Legislators and the Presidium of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation at the Federal Assembly was held in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region Vladimir Varnavsky took part in the meetings. In addition, the speaker of the regional parliament spoke at a meeting of the Commission of the Council of Legislators on International Cooperation, which considered the results of the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in October this year in St. Petersburg.

On November 30, 2017, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region adopted in the first reading the draft law “On the regional budget for 2018 and for the planning period of 2019 and 2020.”

On November 21, 2017, public hearings were held in the conference hall of the regional government on the draft law of the Omsk region “On the regional budget for 2018 and for the planning period of 2019 and 2020.”
