On September 29, 2016 at 10.00 a.m. a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region of the sixth convocation will take place.

The final meeting of the Youth Chamber of Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region in the fifth convocation took place.

Today the regional parliament held the final plenary meeting of the fifth convocation. At it, deputies heard a report from the Governor of the Omsk Region on the results of the activities of the Government of the Omsk Region in 2015, and also adopted laws important for the implementation of the socio-economic policy of the Omsk Region. The results of the work of the Assembly in the fifth convocation were summed up by the speaker of the regional parliament, Vladimir Varnavsky.

The Social Policy Committee of the Legislative Assembly held a visiting meeting at the BSUSO NGO "Kirov orphanage-boarding school for mentally retarded children." Deputies also considered a bill aimed at improving the living conditions of large families in residential premises related to individual housing construction projects.

The Committee on Economic Policy and Investments of the regional parliament held a regular meeting, at which reports of the Control and Accounts Chamber of the Omsk Region, new bills and other issues were considered

Today, the regional parliament set the date for the elections of deputies of the Legislative Assembly, approved changes to the budget of the territorial compulsory health insurance fund of the Omsk region for 2016, extended tax preferences for polypropylene producers, and also considered a number of other bills affecting the social and economic policy of the Omsk region.

On June 8, 2016, the governor of the Omsk region, Viktor Nazarov, signed a decree “On awarding state awards to the Omsk region and conferring honorary titles on the Omsk region.” In accordance with it, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Varnavsky, was awarded the honorary title of the Omsk Region “Honorary Citizen of the Omsk Region”.

At the next meeting, the Committee on Economic Policy and Investments of the regional parliament considered a bill regulating the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in the Omsk region, reports of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Omsk region and other issues.

A regular meeting of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy was held. It examined the reports of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Omsk Region and other issues.

The Social Policy Committee considered bills amending regional laws on the protection of public health, the budget of the territorial compulsory health insurance fund of the Omsk region for 2016 and other issues

Changes to regional tax legislation and other issues were discussed by the Financial and Budgetary Policy Committee of the Legislative Assembly.

The issues of providing certain categories of citizens with free ownership of land and others were considered by the committee on agrarian policy, natural resources and ecology of the regional parliament

Information on the implementation of the regional law on property management of the Omsk region and other issues was considered by the property committee of the Legislative Assembly

On June 3, a meeting of the Legislation Committee took place. The agenda included consideration of the issue of appointment to the post of justice of the peace in the Omsk region; bills “On amendments to Articles 1 and 2 of the Law of the Omsk Region “On the procedure for forming precinct election commissions in the territory of the Omsk Region”; “On the status of a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region” were discussed; information was heard on changes in federal legislation and draft federal laws received in Legislation Committee.
