On November 1, 2023, the financial and budgetary policy committee of the regional parliament held a regular meeting. Three issues were considered at it: on the draft law of the Omsk region No. 1670-7 “On the regional budget for 2024 and for the planning period of 2025 and 2026” (preparation of a conclusion on the compliance of the submitted documents with the requirements of Article 12 of the Law of the Omsk region “On the budget process in Omsk Region"), on the regulations for public hearings on the draft regional budget for the next three years and on the committee’s proposals for the work plan of the Control and Accounting Board of the Omsk Region for 2024.

The draft law of the Omsk region "On the regional budget for 2024 and for the planning period of 2025 and 2026" was submitted to the regional parliament today. The document was reviewed and approved by the Government of the Omsk Region. Regional budget revenues for next year amount to 136.2 billion rubles, including tax and non-tax revenues are projected at 106.4 billion rubles, which is 8.4% more than expected this year. Regional budget expenditures in 2024 are planned at 135.1 billion rubles.

On October 19, 2023, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region considered more than thirty issues. A law has been adopted providing for the possibility of leasing real estate objects in unsatisfactory condition at preferential rental rates, as well as laws aimed at further developing the state system of free legal assistance, creating favorable conditions in order to attract medical and pharmaceutical workers to work in medical organizations. Parliamentarians discussed new bills concerning the procedure for paying compensation for part of parental fees for kindergarten and other issues. In addition, the composition of the relevant committees of the Assembly was changed.

At the meeting of the Legislative Assembly Committee of the Omsk Region on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy held on October 11, 2023, changes to regional laws on social protection of certain categories of citizens, reports of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Omsk Region, draft resolutions of the Government of the Omsk Region on the approval of a number of state programs, as well as the committee’s work plans for 2024.

The Committee on Economic Policy and Investments of the regional parliament, at a regular meeting held on October 11, 2023, considered draft laws on state regulation of subsoil use in the Omsk region, on amendments to Article 3 of the regional law on transport tax, issues on state programs of the Omsk region and other.
