Cargo was sent from Omsk to the Northern Military District zone for residents of new regions of the Russian Federation and Northern Military District soldiers. On February 9, 2024, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, Alexander Artemov, visited the Gorky Municipal District as part of a working trip of the Governor of the Omsk Region, Vitaly Khotsenko. An important event was a visit to the newly opened MBOU "Gorky Secondary School named after V.A. Varnavsky." The educational institution is named after Vladimir Alekseevich Varnavsky, who headed the regional parliament from 1994 to May 2023.

At the first meeting of the regional parliament in the spring session, held on January 25, 2024, several dozen issues were considered. Deputies discussed bills to amend regional laws “On ensuring peace and quiet of citizens in the Omsk region”, “On the referendum of the Omsk region”, as well as the law on passenger transportation and others. Parliamentarians also approved a draft agreement between the Government of the Omsk Region and the Khokimiyat of the Bukhara Region on the implementation of international and foreign economic relations. In addition, the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region adopted a resolution on the award of the regional parliament - the Certificate of Honor of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region.
